Hummingbird's New 900 Series On Display at the Sydney International Boat Show

Leading the way in innovation, Humminbird® has introduced the revolutionary new 900 Series to their range of fishing systems, and they’re on display at this year’s boatshow at stands 303-305. Using technologies such as Side Imaging Sonar, 3D Imaging and full colour, ultra wide 178mm diagonal screens, these units are top of their class compared to any other consumer fishfinder on the Australian market.

The 981CX SI and the 987CX SI Combo from the 900 Series both utilise side scan technology or Side Imaging Sonar, derived from military and commercial products to map the bottom and structure with “photograph-like” detail. This technology has not previously been available to the consumer fishfinder market.

Also available in Humminbird®’s new 900 Series is the 947CX 3D, with new advanced 3D technology that delivers highly detailed images of bottom structure and topography. This unit provides up to 20 times more resolution than any other previous 3D model. This technology measures depth at 11 different points across a 53-degree cone to reveal high resolution side-to-side depth contour. 3D technology excels at providing the angler with accurate multi-dimensional representations of bottom details such as wrecks, drop-offs, channels and creek beds that hide fish. The 947CX 3D also has 2D capabilities to offer a traditional view of structure and fish.

In addition to these models, the new 931CX DF offers dual frequency sonar, GPS compatibility, and expandable and upgradeable fishing system add-ons. The 937CX DF has the same great features as the 931CX DF but adds chartplotting and 12 channel GPS with WAAS for greater position accuracy.

The new ultra wide screens of all units in the Humminbird 900 Series are a great asset because they work extremely well for split screen viewing of sonar and GPS, and still allow for easy-to-read, large digital displays. These fully featured and user-friendly models are all part of Humminbird’s fishing system product line, which means they are expandable and upgradeable to accommodate the most current technologies including WeatherSense™ barometric pressure monitor, GPS input, chartplotting and PC compatibility.
