20 Impressive Reasons to Visit the Sydney International Boat Show
14th June 2006
The worlds largest boat builder will display 11 yachts and 9 powerboats at the Sydney International Boat Show, Darling Harbour from 3 August to 8 August 2006.
Groupe Beneteau will unleash the much anticipated Farr designed, IRC optimised First 34.7 into the Australasian market along with the superbly styled Oceanis 50 , a collaboration of the Beneteau Design Groupe and Nauta Yacht Design, the Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 41, and the family orientated Cyclade 39.
The boats epitomize the Groupe Beneteau credo of constant innovation and technological advancement whilst maintaining the spirit of the sea.
Lagoonsare known and reputed for their comfort at sea, their large living space and their innovative design not so much for their performance.
That image has been remedied with Lagoon winning the catamaran class in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers otherwise known as The ARC. The Lagoon 570 "Dada V" was first over the finishing line of the ARC in the multihull class of 21 competitors.
A smaller version, the Lagoon 380sII will be displayed this year to tempt the cruising nomads to sail across the Atlantic.
The Oceanis 523, awarded Boat of the Year in the USA in December 2005 by Cruising World Magazine will demonstrate, with the Oceanis 423 and 373, why they are the worlds leading bluewater cruisers with an unerring eye for style with interiors provided by Nauta Yacht Design.
A Cyclade 43 will complement the new Cyclade 39 and the First 44.7 - Australian Boat of the Year (Imp. Sailing) 2005 will complete the First range.
The slick Centurion 40s built by Wauquiez makes evident the two styles, (the other being the Pilot Saloon), that are built by these master yacht craftsmen.
The other side of the boating world will be represented by powerboats from the Beneteau Flyer, Antares and Swift Trawler ranges.
