MotorGuide Wireless Trolling Motors - A New Breed of Toughness and Control Released

24th July 2006

MotorGuide first introduced the Digital Advantage, now comes the Wireless Advantage!

Freedom is what MotorGuide’s new Digital Wireless Series bow-mount trolling motors are all about. Freedom to make trolling motor steering adjustments from anywhere in the boat. Freedom to concentrate on fishing, not boat positioning, because electric steer motors don’t have the foot-off-the-pedal “wandering” mechanical cable systems do. Freedom to have more than one person in the boat help out with trolling motor operation … in fact, up to as many as four.

MotorGuide Wireless trolling motors provide simple, fast and precise wireless boat positioning from anywhere on deck with a low-profile foot pedal. And since these motors are designed especially with big waters in mind, they are built to take the poundings of fishing in rough, open water, with much of the credit for durability going to the company’s exclusive Digital know-how and the incredible new Cradle Lock Mount, patent-pending.

There are four models in the Wireless Series: the W55, at 12-volts and 55 pounds of thrust available in freshwater or saltwater; and the W75, at 24-volts and 75 pounds of thrust also available in freshwater and saltwater. All are variable speed models and all come in 48-inch and 54-inch shaft lengths. MotorGuide Wireless Series motors feature composite shafts that are 33 percent stronger than the Minn Kota Unbreakable Shaft.

Each Wireless Series model comes standard with MotorGuide’s exclusive high-frequency Wireless Foot Pedal. It is the easiest to use, most functional foot-control device ever designed for wireless trolling motor control. The MotorGuide high-speed Wireless Steering System features a tough, oversized gearbox with 1-degree steering resolution.

The new Wireless Series motors also feature oversized brushes that last longer and increase battery life. As a result, the MotorGuide models maximize battery efficiency and are the quietest trolling motors in their class. A built-in battery indicator with four levels of charge data allows anglers to get the most out of their on-the-water fishing time.

The pedal’s low-profile design affords all-day user comfort, sitting or standing. And all commands – On/Off, Right/Left, and Faster/Slower – are a cinch to master for novice and expert alike.

MotorGuide’s optional wireless handheld Digital Remote Control (DRC) also works with any Wireless Series motor. In fact, mix or match up to four DRC handhelds or Wireless Foot Pedals in any combination for the ultimate in boat control with a tournament team member or fishing partners.

MotorGuide Wireless Series motors feature the industry’s smoothest stow and deploy. A unique cable design at the motor’s head provides a comfortable, positive grip for putting the motor in the water or lifting it out under even the most adverse weather conditions.

The unique Cradle Lock mount is exclusive to the Wireless Series. Although it features a small footprint design, the Cradle Lock doesn’t have the stability concerns often associated with a small foundation because construction is tough extruded aluminium and the mount locks in place with up to 10,000-inch-pounds of force to form a rock-solid connection. The Cradle Lock’s common hole pattern means it fits virtually any boat.

The operate-from-anywhere benefits of Wireless, and the quick-release features of the Cradle Lock mount make MotorGuide Wireless Series motors a perfect choice for serious fishermen.

Every model is backed by a 3-year warranty and lifetime shaft warranty.
