15 August 2007
THE INNOVATION CONTINUES
Australias largest luxury boat builder, Riviera, is celebrating record sales of 42 boats, valued at more than $53 million, at the annual Sydney International Boat Show this week.
The new model Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht and 47 Enclosed Flybridge models led the sales success, but sales came across the entire range of the companys Flybridge, Sport Yacht and Sport Cruiser lines.
The company also announced the sale of five Princess motor yachts as well as very strong interest in Grand Banks boats. Rivieras R Marine Dealer network announced the Grand Banks distribution agreement just one week before the show opened.

Tim Sayer, Managing Director of Rivieras R Marine Dealer network, said: We are very excited by the response to our new 4400 Sport Yacht. Our Dealers sold 12 of this model, which is an outstanding result. The Enclosed Flybridge on our 47 Series II Flybridge was also well accepted with six boats sold at the Show.
Overall, the Show was a great demonstration of the strength of the network. We attracted a number of new customers to the R Marine family and were delighted to know that there were also many current Riviera owners who came back to upgrade their boats.
The Dealers co-operated well, helping many of our customers to make good decisions.
Mr Sayer said the company had 18 boats on display ranging from 33 feet to 67 feet and valued at more than $25 million.
The companys display, which included 12 Riviera models, six Princess motor yachts and two Grand Banks models, occupied 3,500 square metres of the Cockle Bay marina at Darling Harbour, the largest exhibitor at the boat show .
Sydney is a very competitive show and there will be many more deals finalised over coming weeks as our dealers continue to talk with customers who visited our display.
Mr Sayer said the company included only contracted sales with deposits paid in the show result.
Riviera Director Lee Dillon, R Marine Managing Director Tim Sayer and Imported Product Director Alan Paterson were delighted with the Sydney Show result.
