Beneteau First 25.7

8 July 2008

The First 25.7 has already joined the ranks of the greats, her sleek hull, pivoting keel and high aspect sail plan guarantees her sailing efficiency and speed. Not only is she a highly efficient sailing boat she has a modern, stylish and most importantly comfortable interior which makes sailing on the First 25.7 an all over enjoyable experience. *

She also has a highly responsive helm and an efficient deck plan that ensures there is no cluttering within the helm or cockpit, making her a safe and comfortable yacht to sail. The hull is a single-skinned GRP laminate which is easier to clean and provides a better finish. There is an inner structural moulding that plays an important structural role by absorbing the loads and pressure points reducing stresses on the hull.
The deck is a sandwich construction of glass fibre, polyester resin and balsa this type of construction improves balance of optimal insulation and lightness. All areas of the deck are coated with “Picot” non-slip coating which ensures all areas of circulation are safe areas.

The exterior of the First 25.7 is as welcoming as the interior design. The interior of the First 25.7 features an impressively roomy saloon and lots natural light provided by the 2 large ports and slick horizontal-grain light oak Alpi woodwork. There is plenty of head room below decks (1.75m) and more than ample storage space. The galley features a GRP sink with spout, foot-pump and polythene chopping board, a large locker under sink, 50 L GRP icebox and a manual bilge pump.

Her sail plan is as follows: 4 batten mainsail with 2 reefing lines, furling genoa with anti-UV strip (110% overlap) and lazy jacks.
When she is not sailing the First 25.7 is propelled by a Yanmar 14HP engine.
