Marine Electronics set to Create Interest at Sydney International Boat Show

10 June 2008

It is, after all, the computer age and more and more boat owners are calling on high-tech marine electronics to add interest to their favourite past time.

This year, the Sydney International Boat Show (July 31-August 5) will play host to the largest display yet staged by Navico, parent company to six of the world’s best-known names in the industry, B and G, Eagle, Lowrance, Navman, Northstar and Simrad.

Displaying what the company terms its ‘next generation’, the ’08 Sydney show will mark the first time that all Navico brand names will be seen on the one display.

Show visitors will be encouraged to make the most of the hands-on exhibits and there’ll be technical experts on the stand to explain the systems and answer questions.

Regular fishing and boating related demonstrations will also be conducted, with the way to use each product explained in detail.

Extensive product ranges from each of the brands will be on display, including all new products released for 2008.

The new products will include the B and G RaceVision 3000, Eagle VHF radios, Lowrance broad band sounder, Northstar’s 8000i integrated system and Simrad’s latest the GB40, NX40/45 and the AP24/28.

To complement the informative, interactive display, company representatives will have on hand the latest brochures, newsletters and other relevant material which visitors can receive and check out products in their own time.

The 2008 Sydney International Boat Show has attracted more than 300 exhibitors to the Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre, while a further 70-plus will display a spectacular range of luxury craft on rhe adjoining Cockle Bay Marina.

It’s a celebration of recreational boating not to be missed.

The show will open at 10am daily, the exhibition halls closing at 8pm, the marina at 6pm.
