The first 45 is inspired by the First 50 with its sleek silhouette, clear lines and modern interior design. It is a super yacht that not only exhibits a serious cruiser profile but a serious racer profile to. It advances further the ideas of sailing performance, handsome looks and comfort in harbour and at sea. The First 45 is designed by P. Briand Design group, they have payed special attention to a number of innovations in terms of comfort, building technique, ease of handling and performance. The First 45 is a thoroughbred yacht, whose design reflects its sheer power and performance.


The exterior design of the First 45 is pure and sleek. The deck plan is designed for free movement, safety and simplicity. The hull is single skinned GRP and is constructed by infusion of glass fibre / balsa /synthetic resin which increases the strength ratio. All deck areas of movement have a non-slip surface to provide more safety. A structural single-skinned inner moulding is constructed with bi-axial and uni-directional cloth, its structural role is very important because it absorbs the stresses at pressure points reducing strain on the hull. To guarantee maximum stiffness marine plywood structural bulkheads have been bonded to the hull.

The state of the art cock pit on the First 45 featurings: 5 stowage lockers, teak slatted cockpit benches and helm seats?, a self-draining cockpit, 2 aluminum leather-covered steering wheels fitted to 2 lacquered aluminum designer consol, and ?2 steering compasses and an engine control panel.

The interior design on the First 45 is exceptionally slick, innovative, funtional, comfortable and luxurious. When you step down the companionway you are welcomed into a large, light and airy L-shaped saloon, which boasts plenty of head room. There is 1 seat and 1 rectangular table on stainless steel legs with solid wood frame and hand holds. It also features 2 removable seats and plenty of lockers and closed-in storage compartments. The saloon is decked out with light woods and elegant stainless steal handles and fittings which make it an ultra modern experience below decks! There is a healthy amount of light and ventilation provided by the hatches in the center of the coachroof which can be sealed off with blinds. There is an overall relaxed atmosphere below decks.

The First 45 is propelled by a yanama 4JH4 CE 54 HP diesel engine.

Available in a standard version and a carbon racing version – carbon racing mast to replace standard, bigger sized winches to replace the standard winches.
