20 June 2008
Malibu Boats received a record 7th consecutive Boat of the Year Award from U.S. Power Boat Magazine recently, in Los Angles, CA. The award winners were selected after the magazine's rigorous Performance Trials in Parker, AZ, Sarasota, FL, and San Diego, CA. More than 40 performance boats were evaluated independently by two teams.
This years U.S. Power Boat Magazine Boat of the Year award was granted to Malibu Boats for the new 2008 Wakesetter 23 LSV.
This honour makes Malibu the only boat company in the history of Power Boat Magazine to have earned seven Boat of the Year awards in a row. Dan Gasper, Director of Research ad Development, accepted the award for Malibu Boats during the Product Excellence Celebration in LA.
Since its inception, the pride Malibu has taken in its products has netted recognition throughout the world. The company has accumulated 19 Boat of the Year Awards and 25 Product Excellence awards in the US, Australia and New Zealand, yet the restless spirit and motivation for perfection never stops.
Simon Hill, manager of Sales of Marketing for Malibu Boats Australia, explains. These awards are a true indication that our engineers have their eye on the ball, and our production teams at all 3 factories are committed to ongoing quality. With the recent release of the Wakesetter 23 LSV in Australia, the timing couldnt be better! Building the 23 in Australia was a big step, but it is proving to be a very popular model and now it carries the title of 2008 Boat of the Year is yet another huge bonus for Malibu.
