Something Different for Sydney International Boat Show Courtesy of Enterprise Marine
10th July 2003

Sydney marine dealership, Enterprise Marine, is well-known as a distributor for the renowned Southwind Marine and Quintrex ranges. This year, however, the dealership will be introducing several new models not seen before on the local market.

Attack Boats, Queensland-built, will highlight the Enterprise display, with an all-new 4.7-metre fishing boat available in a wide range of configurations to suit various fishing applications. Although a first rate fishing boat in its base form, the Attack 470 can be upgraded to become either a serous fly fishing boat or a tournament bream/bass boat complete with live wells and tackle storage.

With fore and aft casting platforms and plenty of dry storage within its 2.1-metre beam, the Attack 470 boasts the room aboard for a family to enjoy a day in the water. Weighing in at only 450kg, the Attack 470 performs very well indeed with a Yamaha 60hp outboard, and proves more than adequate with a 50hp engine. Also new for Enterprise Marine is the release of a boat built exclusively or the dealership, the sleek 445F Flycraft.

Built by industry identity Phil Griffin, the moulds of the craft are owned by Enterprise Marine, a somewhat unusual situation for a marine dealership. The hull of the 445F Flycraft had been a proven design and has now been refurbished and revitalised for the merging small fibreglass boat market. Designed for the dedicated angler, this boat is described as being comfortable 20 kilometres offshore or drifting the upper reaches of estuaries. Features include deluxe console with screen and stainless grab rails, generous storage, including ground tackle locker and a 60-litre fuel tank. Recommended power is a Yamaha 60hp four-stroke, delivering 72km/hr at 5900rpm. The hull is hand-laid using 600-gram biaxial cloth to ensure maximum strength. Its transom can accommodate 140k or 90hp.

Enterprise Marine will also be displaying the latest range of poly boats produced by Bundaberg's Polycraft Industries. With 10 boats in the range, from 3.1-metre through to 4.5-metres, there's a Polycraft to suit everyone. Rugged, durable and long lasting, Polycraft boats carry a four-year hull warranty. And even boast antifoul impregnation in their bottom for use in commercial or commuting applications. South Africa is the original home of another new line being introduced at Sydney by Enterprise Marine.

Rapid Inflatables has enjoyed 15-years of success on its home ground, South Africa, and Enterprise Marine is confident Australian inflatables buyers will be favourably impressed.

Rapid Inflatables offer a comprehensive range, from 2.5-metres to 6.5-metres, in both inflatable and semi-rigid styles. Check out the new additions to the local market at the Enterprise Marine display, stand 518, Hall 5 at the Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre. Enterprise Marine can be contacted on (02) 9913-7767.
