Quintrex to Unveil its 2004 Range at the Sydney International Boat Show
25th June 2003

Quintrex Australia, the nation's largest boat manufacturer in terms of hulls produced annually, is set to launch its impressive 2004 range of aluminium boats during the six action-packed days at Darling Harbour.

The Gold Coast-based manufacturer, its new and imposing production facility now fully on line, will offer boating enthusiasts a huge 67-model range of craft, among them the ubiquitous dinghies and punts through to the award-winning Hornets, Centre Consoles, Cuddy Cabins and Runabouts.

The demands of anglers, wake board and waterski enthusiasts and family boaters alike can be met from within the Quintrex range. Sydney's two Quintrex dealers, Hunts Marine and Enterprise Marine, together with 'out of towners' Terrace Boating (Newcastle) and Kroboats (Corrimal) will have a comprehensive array of the popular Quintrex breed on display.

It's difficult to rate the top selling Quintrex models, for all play a role in keeping the multi award-winning manufacturer to the fore. The Quintrex Open Boats, including the Dart and Fishseeker Series, are sought after as tenders and still water fishing boats.

Travellers and Explorers fill the bill for quiet water angling and picnicking, while the dedicated fishermen will be impressed with the superb range of Hornets, including the Hornet Wildfishers, serious boats for serious anglers.

Another Quintrex series worthy of mention is the Top Ender, comprising eight different models from 4.2-metres through to 6.0-metres.

The Blue Water series represents the flagship range for Quintrex and one of the major attractions at the Sydney International Boat Show is sure to be the all-new 610 Offshore, a big, beefy runabout capable of offshore work.

Hunts Marine plans on unveiling this new model complete with a 150hp Johnson outboard to what is sure to be an admiring audience.

Although widely recognised these days, quite rightly, as a Queensland company, Quintrex originally began in Sydney. It was a talented engineer, the late Terry Quantrill, who paved the way forward for stretch forming aluminium, a process that revolutionised alloy boat production.

The legacy established by Quantrill more than 55-years ago will be on display at the Sydney International Boat Show.
